Adrift Studio was born out of a desire to find my creative niche.

I was inspired to explore macrame by a wall hanging in a friend's home.

At first glance, it was just rope and a piece of driftwood with a few loosely tied knots, but as I stood there taking it in, I was struck by its beautiful simplicity.

I was obsessed!

One thing led to another and I eventually added a small, portable loom and large, floor loom to my quiver of creative tools. It was the luscious fibres that drew me in.

Driftwood is a common thread found sprinkled throughout my work. The shapes and textures evoke wonder and spark my creative process. Each piece carved, battered, weathered, smoothed and sun-bleached to unique perfection.
